The Four Communities Fire Department is an all volunteer, Fire Rescue, non-profit corporation, that provides prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery services to the residents and business in the areas of Sharpes, Cocoa, Frontenac and Port St John on the Space Coast of Florida.. We have been serving our community since 1951 and are currently contracted by Brevard County Fire Rescue as first due responders in our north central Brevard County run area. Four communities volunteers were requested to provide brush fire coverage in the city of Melbourne while multiple BCFR units were assisting PBFR and FFS on a brush fire in Palm Bay. Four communities offered our type 6 brush truck, which is also known as Squad 28 due to its abilities to respond to mvc’s, structure fires, brush fires and medical calls.

The members of FCFD training on how to escape a structure with no visibility using only their hands. They trained on making their way thru tight, enclosed spaces, removing their air pack to make it thru and putting it back on while following the hose line out of the structure to safety.
